Marjolein de Wit

Born in Rotterdam, Marjolein de Wit started to play the flute at the age of 10.
She gave her début concert as a soloist with the Rotterdam Youth Chamber Orchestra when she was 14 years old.

Marjolein de Wit studied with Raymond Delnoye at the Academy of Music in Tilburg and graduated with first prizes. Her final exam was aired on radio stations in the Netherlands. She followed masterclasses with Emily Beynon, Juliette Hurel, James Galway, Davide Formisano and Peter Lukas Graf. 

She gives Duo Recitals with pianist Jelger Blanken and harpist Regina Ederveen and also appears with the Aperto-ensemble, ‘Dwars’ Flute Quartet and the Animato-Ensemble. Her career covers a wide field of solo work, chamber music and orchestral playing.  Her concerts have taken her throughout Europe and Canada.

Marjolein de Wit has recorded several CDs and she can be viewed on several television programs. Also a distinguished teacher, she teaches students from advanced to certified students in the Netherlands and Germany. For more information about concerts, lessons and workshops:
