ALTUS Z-Cut Kopstuk
Het speciaal voor AZUMI ontwikkelde ALTUS kopstuk heeft, dankzij de Z-Cut, een bijzonder soepele respons. De lipplaat wordt met de hand bewerkt. De zijkanten van de mondopening staan lichtjes schuin. De onderkant van de schouw is licht ondersneden. De prettige aanblaashoek van het Z-Cut kopstuk zorgt ervoor dat nagenoeg iedereen meteen –en zonder moeite– een zuivere toon zonder bijgeluiden vindt. Dankzij de met de hand uitgevoerde ondersnijding heeft het instrument een kleurrijke, dramatische en expressieve toon. Zelfs in de extreme registers (zeer hoge en lage tonen) blijft de respons van de fluit voorbeeldig.
AZUMI Corpus
Het AZUMI corpus is van uitmuntende kwaliteit en zal de fluitist dus z’n hele leven door kunnen begeleiden. Dankzij de ALTUS Bennett Scale kunnen zelfs problematische noten zuiver worden geïntoneerd. Met het oog op een constant hoge kwaliteit worden de AZUMI-fluiten aan dezelfde strenge kwaliteitscontrole onderworpen als de ALTUS-instrumenten.

The ALTUS Z-Cut headjoint was developed specifically for AZUMI. It responds extremely quickly and the convenient blowing angle helps to easily produce a clear tone. Due to the hand crafted under cutting, the instrument achieves a sound both rich in tone colours and of an expressive dynamic range. Even in extreme registers, the flute's response is excellent and easy to control.
The AZUMI body and the AZUMI mechanism is of high quality. It es extremely durable and very easy to maintain. In addition, the ALTUS scale permits correct intonation even for "problematic" notes.

Close collaboration with experienced music educators (led by Prof. Barbara Gisler-Haase from the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna) has allowed AZUMI to innovate further than has previously been achieved resulting in individually perfect instruments for performers of any age.The AZUMI Wave-Line flute is evenly balanced along its length, experiences no tilting and plays in every way the same as a standard concert flute.
The AZUMI Wave Line flute, with patented O/V head joint, permits the building of a reduced length flute for beginners of an early age whilst maintaining all the playing properties of a standard concert flute. Problems in balancing the flute, as experienced playing flutes with curved head joints now belong in the past. In addition to this, the AZUMI Wave-Line flute features the same sound quality as a concert flute – the hissing produced when using curved head joints is completely eliminated. A further design feature is the level finger buttons which are positioned as close together and are as accessible as is technically possible. Allied to this, the light build, without trill key pivot and E-mechanism, further allows neat and non-restrictive fingering for players with small hands.
